For many a year, the ST Focus owner has wondered? Why does my car not hit Full Boost??
Most often the answer is down to the ECU allowing the actuator (also known as a Turbo Brake) to slow down the turbo to the default pressure set by the actuator.In the case of the ST Focus this default pressure is very low.

So what if I increase the Spring Pressure in the Actuator?

If you strengthen the spring the default or lowest pressure the ECU can demand will be higher and give you more Power

When fitted the default or lowest pressure the ECU can lower the boost to is now in this range 9-15

So what if I use the Blue Spring version?
It will then lift the lowest boost pressure the car can lower the boost to 14-18 PSI

A word to the wise – The ECU on the ST focus is very clever and without the correct Remap will shut the car down and reduce power significantly, We do not recommend the use of the blue spring version when using your standard boost control solenoid.
