The MAXD tuning device allows you total control of the vehicle’s engine calibration with the use of any Windows-based PC. This Stage 2 version of the MAXD Out device contains the first 4 engine calibrations to choose from, not just one like other tuning boxes.

These are Stage 1 (225bhp), STAGE 1r  (240bhp), Stage 2 (235bhp), Stage 2r-Version 8 (254bhp)

The ST180 Fiesta EcoBoost is perfect to tune. Add some simple breathing modifications and calibrate the ECU, and the engine responds with a great urge without over-stressing anything.

This Pumaspeed MAXD Out Stage 2r Tuning Box has all the maps you’ll need for a Stock Turbo car. The Stage 1 versions are designed to run with the Stock Catalytic Convertor, the Stage 2 versions are designed to run with a De-Cat pipe or Sports cat. All the maps run with a totally Stock engine with no need to modify the Pistons or Rods.

The OE Ford Turbo will MAX OUT at around 250 bhp, even with the very best Hardware modifications available, it simply cannot flow any more air out of the exhaust side to give any extra power.

Pumaspeed set out to tune the stock motor with a Full De-Catted Exhaust, a full Stage 3 Air Induction System, State of the Art intercooler, and the R-Sport Hot Side Pipe Kit Add on, combined with the Specially developed Stage 2r Version 8 Software, the results have proven themselves time after time. Stock Ford Boost Peaks at 1.45 Bar, we decided to run with boost peaking at 1.6 but stabilized at 1.55 Bar.

The numbers tell the story 254bhp 403nm of Torque…

There are very few remaps on the market today that have that sort of performance with the Ford OE built-in safety features still included, for instance, the stock boost level is 1.45 Bar, the MAXD Out map only lifts that to 1.6 Bar.

Testing has shown the MAXD recalibration to be one of the safest custom tuning solutions available. The Staged mapping will suit any European Spec ST180 (Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong markets) and will work to deliver a very safe and reliable increase.

   De-Cat –  This option will ensure the dash MIL light does not turn on to indicate the Catalytic Converter is not fitted.

Octane rating –  Low grade 95 RON and High Grade 102 RON mappings are available for an additional cost.

The Mapping device – FAQ’s

 Can the box be used to turn my vehicle back to the original Stock file at any time?

Yes, the box allows you to store the original file and then allows you to install your stock mapping any time you need.
What happens to my stock mapping?

This will be read and will be saved on the Laptop.

What if my car is already mapped?

Your ECU will be read by the software and this will be treated as the stock mapping for your car.

 Is the software easy DIY install on and off the car?

Yes, the custom software is very simple to use and runs on any Windows Laptop.

 Can I upgrade the maps to a higher level?

Yes, the benefit of the system is that MAXD can easily send you upgraded files from the above list.

Can MAXD write a custom file to suit my list of mods?

Yes the in-house calibration specialists at MAXD can tailor a mapping to suit you and your driving style. Whilst MAXD research and development does run through most case scenarios there will always be the requirement for that one-off special.

Can I use the device on more than one vehicle?

No, the MAXD device locks itself to your vehicle’s VIN number and cannot be used on another vehicle.
Can I use different fuels?

MAXD maps are available for 95 RON, 98 RON, and 102 RON high-quality fuel. We will make them freely available but warn that running the wrong fuel to mapping combination can be dangerous.
Does the Mapping affect the immobilizer?

MAXD maps will not affect the vehicle immobilizer in any way.
Can I download a stock map?

If your car has already been mapped elsewhere and you want to return it to standard, we can provide a standard tune.

Do we think it’s the best?

The answer is YES. Internet forum owner testing has shown the Stage 2 mapping to be higher powered than every other branded mapping, including some very well-known names.
